Portugese Chinese Cusine..Melaka Nonya or Baba Flour cakes with anchovy and spciy chilli with shallot and spring oinion..

This is a called PEOPLE BABA FOOD (Orang Nonya food)  or Snack... :)

Melaka tradition snack...

get some anchovy water ...separate the anchovy) it away after done

cut some chilli padi or red /yellow or green mix is ok but must be small tiny chili...

chopp some small littlle onion or shallot ...

kneaded the white flour mix  anchovy water,chilli and shallot...

left it for 1 hr cover it  with damn cloth ..

pour some olive oil or coconut oil 

scoop up a small cup of kneaded flour into the oil and deep fry for 1 min till brown...

eat it with real hot  black coffee with sugar or honey for some side kick....

make sure the chilli is real hot and the sweet anchovy juice is a bit salty... but not too salty...

the sweet shallot will give a tings of the sweetness while the flour pastry is tender and tangy.. 

Afternoon tea or coffee time is the most suitable time to enjoy this Portugese Chinese Cuisine.(Only one kind of the world)
